This fountain pen has never seen ink and comes with the original Medici Limited Edition literature, warranty card, and Medici box. I consider this S.T. Dupont Medici Fountain Pen in Never Inked, Mint Condition - it is a gorgeous writing instrument!

The S.T. Dupont Limited Edition Medici Fountain Pen represents a distinguished example of Renaissance-inspired luxury. Launched in 2005, this writing instrument exemplifies the exceptional craftsmanship of S.T. Dupont while integrating the artistic grandeur of the Medici era.

The pen is meticulously designed with a barrel and cap composed of a refined blend of red and ivory Chinese lacquer, further enhanced by intricate marble dust inlays. These features not only augment the visual appeal of the pen but also reflect the opulence characteristic of the period. The palladium overlay on the cap, which emulates the ornate patterns found in Medici palaces, combined with the finely crafted clip and trim, contributes to the pen's overall elegance. This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no dings, dents, or damage with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel via a friction fit. The sides of the clip are stamped with, "ST Dupont Paris and Made in France with the serial number "0428/2420". There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel. This S.T. Dupont MEDICI Fountain Pen measures 5 3/4" in length capped and 5 3/4" posted. The diameter around the cap band measures 15.50mm and the pen weighs 2 ounces.

The Medici will use an ink converter or cartridges. Both come with the fountain pen. 

The NIB is an 18K/750 type with a medium point. The actual fountain pen tipping/iridium measures .78mm when measured using digital calipers. This pen was never inked nor did I ink it only to keep it in New Old Stock condition for the new collector. These ST Dupont nibs are typically known for their incredibly smooth writing nibs - I am sure this one will not disappoint.

The fountain pen comes with the original box, warranty card, ST DuPont literature, and box of ink cartridges. The only flaw with the box is on the outside top cover - the vinyl is degraded and pieces are flaking off (see the last image of what I am referring to here). This usually results in heat or poor airflow. 

The Medici Limited Edition Fountain Pen is a fancy specimen from S.T. Dupont. Not only is it a beautiful, show-stopping writing instrument, but it is also a statement piece that everyone will take notice of when you write with it. I would grade this fountain pen in mint condition with it never being inked - the box the pen comes in is not mint. It is a gorgeous example that will stand out in your writing arsenal collection!
